AI in Scribbles
AI that turns your scattered thoughts into structured, connected knowledge.
Scribbles has AI built in — but it's not the kind that takes over. AI in Scribbles is opt-in. It only activates when you ask it to or when you've explicitly turned on an automation.
By default, your scribbles are just your scribbles. No rewriting, no auto-summarizing, no unsolicited suggestions.
Extraction
When you capture a scribble like "just watched Inception, Christopher Nolan really outdid himself," AI can extract a Movie object from that — filling in the title, director, year, and genre automatically.
Your unstructured thought becomes a structured, searchable data object without you having to type it into a form.
Enrichment
Once an object is extracted, AI can enrich it with additional information. That "Inception" movie object can get its full cast, runtime, plot summary, and rating pulled in automatically — turning a casual mention into a complete record.
Routing
AI can also figure out where your scribbles belong. Write "need to rethink the pricing section" and AI recognizes it relates to the essay you're working on, routing it there automatically. No @mention required.
This means your scribbles don't just sit in a feed — they flow to the right documents, spaces, and lists based on what they're about.
How it all connects
These three — extraction, enrichment, and routing — work together. A single scribble like "just finished reading Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari, want to add it to my reading list" can:
- Extract a Book object (title, author)
- Enrich it (genre, page count, publication year)
- Route it to your "Reading List" collection
Your fleeting thought becomes a fully structured, properly filed record — all from one line of text.
Automations
You can set up automations that run these AI capabilities on your behalf. Every automation is something you explicitly turn on:
- Auto-extract — pull objects out of incoming scribbles
- Auto-enrich — fill in missing fields on extracted objects
- Auto-route — send scribbles to the right place based on content
Nothing runs in the background without your permission. AI is a tool in the drawer, not a backseat driver.
